Christmas Cheese Selection 2024

Christmas just isn't Christmas without an exceptional cheese board, and at Little Mouse we've spent a long time curating the perfect one to wow the family with.

Available in options of three (approx 700grams) or five cheeses (approx 1.2kg), with additional options like adding a 75cl bottle of Niepoort Tawny Port and/or our specially made chutneys. 

Our three cheese selection is Baron Bigod, Isle of Mull Cheddar, and Colston Bassett Stilton. With five cheeses you'll also get a very specially aged Templegall and Ashcombe. If you select 'no blue', we will swap your blue for Cornish Yarg

This year we also have a vegetarian selection of Gert Lush, Cornish Yarg, and Cropwell Bishop Stilton, with Templegall and Stinking Bishop included in the five cheese selection. 

About the cheeses

Baron Bigod (approx 250grams) - on five and three cheese regular selections
The king of British brie! Decadence personified with a deep, rich flavour from their use of Montbeliarde Cow's milk

Isle of Mull Cheddar (approx 190grams) - on five and three cheese regular selections
A spectacular Scottish cheddar. Lathered in lard, you get an astounding butteriness with just the right amount of bite

Colston Bassett Stilton (approx 250grams) - on five and three cheese regular selections
Our absolutely favourite Stilton. Supremely fruited with a good amount of heat. Well-balanced and perfect at Christmas

Templegall Mature (approx 250grams) - on five cheese regular and vegetarian selections
A very special, very rare version of this exceptional Irish cheese. Extra matured, it's in the style of a way-aged Comté, with all the nuttiness that entails

Ashcombe (approx 220grams)- on five cheese regular selection
Britain's answer to Morbier. With a layer of ash running through it, this washed rind cheese has hoovered up awards sinced its birth in 2020

Gert Lush (250grams) - on five and three cheese vegetarian selections
The relative newcomer to the cheese scene. A brie/camembert hybrid that is rich and unctuous, packing a huge amount of flavour

Cornish Yarg (approx 200grams) - on five and three cheese vegetarian selections and on 'no blue' selections
Nettle-wrapped young hard cheese from Cornwall. Seriously sessionable (perfect at Christmas time!) with citrus notes

Cropwell Bishop Stilton (approx 250grams) - on five and three cheese vegetarian selections)
A wonderful classic British Stilton, tonnes of fruit flavour with just the right amount of heat

Stinking Bishop (approx 225grams) - on five cheese vegetarian selections
The granddaddy of British stank! Washed in perry, this soft washed cheese has a delicate paste with rich butteriness - more pleasurable than the name suggests
