Klein Constantia Estate Red

Constantia red blend from Klein Constantia's cool Cape Peninsula estate: Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot, plus Shiraz and Malbec in varying measure, matured 15 months in French oak. Black cherry, plum and cassis on the nose, with sandalwood, tomato leaf and a slate-and-graphite nuance. Full-bodied, with bright fruit, gentle spice and fine-grained tannins, finishing long with a hint of mocha. Pair with Isle of Mull Cheddar: its tangy, earthy depth meets the wine's graphite edge and dark fruit.
