Jumi Juma

Moldovan white from Château Cristi at Valul lui Traian, cooled by the Black Sea, blending 70% Chardonnay with 30% Riesling from hand-picked clay and limestone vineyards. Grapefruit, blood orange and lemon peel lead the nose. The palate is waxy and textured, with juicy apricot and lychee held in check by taut citrus acidity and chalky minerality, finishing fine, silky and bright. Pair it with Sinodun Hill, a lemony, mousse-like goat's cheese whose fresh acidity mirrors the wine's citrus tension.
