Inniskillin Gold Niagra Vidal Icewine

Icewine from Inniskillin, Niagara's pioneering producer, made from Vidal grapes picked frozen on the vine in the depths of winter, fermented in new French oak and given a further spell in barrel. Deep gold, it offers peach, mango, apricot and candied orange peel, with clove and a gentle spice from the oak. The palate is lusciously sweet and concentrated, yet vibrant acidity keeps it poised through a long, honeyed finish. Pair it with Stichelton, whose creamy, savoury blue character is thrown into relief by the wine's intense sweetness.
