I Buongiorno Primitivo

Salento IGT Primitivo from the Brindisi countryside, macerated briefly and fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel to keep the fruit to the fore. The nose is generous: sour cherry and black cherry, ripe plum and a warm thread of sweet spice. The palate is plush and smooth, with soft, rounded tannins, gentle freshness and a hint of minerality lending balance to its sun-ripened, southern warmth. Serve with Cornish Kern, whose sweet, nutty, caramel notes echo the wine's ripe fruit without overpowering it.
